It's been a year since the release of our album 'Christmas Harmony'. And what a year it's been!
Back in June we performed live (not in front of a camera at home) for the first time since March 2020. The socially distanced concert in a lovely church in Kidlington, Oxfordshire was an emotional experience for both us and the audience.
Fast forward to the end of July, and we were invited to perform on our first cruise since the pandemic. It was the inaugural voyage of SAGA's new ship Spirit of Adventure, and our first time on SAGA. We spent 16 days sailing around the British Isles. We had the company of some great guest artists - Paul Potts, Kerry Ellis, Fogwell Flax, Kenny Martin and his Jazz Legends band, and Dr. Simon Fricker. Yes, there were restrictions due to Covid, but everyone on board was overjoyed to be sailing at last. There was something special about each performance - excitement, nerves and most of all relief.
Then came another first - We performed at our first Warner Leisure Hotel. The lovely Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales. The atmosphere was electric, and the standing ovation was overwhelming.
So what's next? We are delighted to be performing again on the 6th November at Shiplake Memorial Hall between Reading and Henley-on-Thames. This time we are sharing the stage with the fabulous Tamesis Chamber Choir. It'll be an evening of beautiful music including favourites like The Prayer, Angel, Come What May and other hits from stage and screen.
Then we'll be back at sea again at the end of November for another SAGA cruise to the Canary Islands (and we may even slip in some cheeky little Christmas songs).
It's so good to be back doing what we love.
xx
